The LMX cooler is built around Danamics groundbreaking liquid metal technology featuring the unique electromagnetic pump, which circulates the liquid metal in the LMX system without the use of moving parts. This noiseless propulsion is obtained by creating electromagnetic forces directly inside the liquid metal causing it to move.
The pump inside Danamics LMX is further enhanced resulting in a flow 300 % better than on our previous product (Danamics LM10). This is established without any change to the power consumption, which is still less than 1W. Another added feature is a unique iron core, which keeps the magnetic flux inside the magnetic structure and drastically reduces the magnetic field emitted into the surrounding air. The magnetic field on the LMX is decreased approximately 1000 times compared to the Danamics LM10.
Also the LMX features displaced copper tubes. This placement distributes the heat more evenly through the fin, optimizing the performance of each individual fin. The cool plate has been optimized and therefore transports the heat from the CPU to the liquid metal more efficiently.
Excellent contact between the CPU and the cool plate is a cornerstone in good thermals. Danamics have redesigned the clips mechanism in order to pi.ovide the best contact possible. Also the new mounting mechanism is easier to install than ever before.
The unique fanbox is an eye catcher, but it hides some very important features. First of all the fanbox holds a unique "easy mount" fan mounting system. The fans snaps easily into Place and is secured by four small clips. Fans are installed in seconds and no tools are required for the operation. The LMX fanbox is designed to have two fans installed, providing a push-pull configuration out of the box. Needless to say, the LMX comes with two high-quality fans as standard.
An integrated spoiler in the fanbox guides air efficiently through the aluminum fins thereby maximizing the efficient dissipating surface area. Also the aluminum fins are optimized for this together with the use two fans in a push-pull configuration.

The unique design of the Danamics LMX includes the snap on fan mount system, where fans are installed easier than ever before. Just click out the fan holder clips and slide the fan in or out.
Liquid metal circulation
The liquid metal is circulated via an electromagnetic pump without any moving parts. Moving parts is totally eliminated, as the magnetic force is created within the particles of liquid metal itself, causing it to move.
Heat is transferred efficiently into the liquid metal in the coolplate via conduction and dissipated into the ambient air in the radiator via convection.
Electromagnetic flow
1. When voltage is applied to the electrodes of the pump, electrons in the liquid metal starts moving.
2. When the charged electrons are moving in the presence of a magnetic field, a magnetic force is acting perpendicular both the velocity and the magnetic field.
3. This phenomenon, created directly within the liquid itself, creates the motion of liquid metal through the electromagnetic pump. .
Shielded magnetic field
Compared to its predecessor, Danamics LMX features a new shielded magnetic geometry. Radiation of magnetic flux from the permanent magnet into the surround air is virtually eliminated as the new iron core geometry surrounding the magnetic structure keeps the magnetic flux inside the iron core and the pump itself.
Compatibility
Danamics LMX is designed for use with a broad range of processors and platforms. Out of the box, Danamics LMX includes support for AMD processors for socket AM2, socket AM2+, socket AM3 and support for Intel processors designed for socket 778, socket 1156 and socket 1366.
